The Holybro Kakute F405-Wing Mini is a compact flight controller designed for fixed-wing aircraft, VTOL platforms, and small UAV systems requiring powerful flight control performance in a lightweight and space-efficient format.
Powered by an STM32F405 processor running at 168 MHz, the board integrates a low-noise ICM-42688-P IMU, SPL06 barometer, analog OSD, onboard voltage and current sensing, dual regulated BEC outputs, and extensive connectivity for professional fixed-wing and autonomous aircraft applications.
Compact Fixed-Wing Flight Controller
The Kakute F405-Wing Mini is designed specifically for compact fixed-wing aircraft, VTOL platforms, and small UAV installations.
Its low-profile layout, 20 × 20 mm mounting pattern, and integrated power system help simplify installation while reducing the number of external components required.
STM32F405 Flight Processor
The flight controller uses an STM32F405RGT6 processor operating at 168 MHz.
With 192 KB RAM and 1 MB Flash memory, it provides reliable processing performance for stabilized flight, autonomous navigation, navigation sensors, telemetry systems, and advanced aircraft control functions.
Low-Noise ICM-42688-P IMU
The integrated ICM-42688-P inertial measurement unit provides accurate gyroscope and accelerometer data.
Its low-noise design and dedicated power regulation help improve flight stability and sensor reliability in demanding UAV applications.
Integrated Barometer
The onboard SPL06 barometer provides atmospheric pressure and altitude data.
This supports altitude estimation, autonomous flight modes, navigation functions, and reliable fixed-wing or VTOL operation.
Integrated Power Distribution Board
The included power board supports 2–8S LiPo battery systems with an input voltage range of 7.4–36 V.
Two ESC power outputs simplify the connection of propulsion systems, while the integrated voltage and current sensors provide real-time battery monitoring.
High-Current Power Monitoring
The integrated current sensor supports up to 110 A continuous current and 132 A peak current.
Battery voltage and current monitoring allow compatible flight control firmware to provide accurate power consumption, voltage, current, and remaining capacity information.
Dual Onboard BEC Outputs
The Kakute F405-Wing Mini includes two regulated BEC outputs for avionics and servo power.
The 5V BEC provides regulated power for the flight controller, receiver, GPS, telemetry system, camera, OSD, and additional electronics.
The adjustable servo BEC can operate at 5.3 V or 7.2 V, allowing compatibility with standard and high-voltage servos.
Multiple UART & PWM Outputs
The board provides five UART interfaces for GPS, receivers, telemetry modules, airspeed sensors, VTX systems, and other peripherals.
Seven PWM outputs are available for motors, ESCs, servos, control surfaces, and additional aircraft functions.
PWM output 7 is configured for NeoPixel LED control by default.
Integrated Analog OSD
The onboard AT7456E OSD supports analog FPV video systems.
Important flight information such as battery voltage, flight mode, altitude, GPS data, warnings, and navigation information can be displayed directly in the FPV video feed.
Onboard Blackbox Memory
The integrated 128 Mbit flash memory supports onboard flight data logging.
Blackbox data can be used for flight analysis, system diagnostics, aircraft tuning, and troubleshooting.
ArduPilot, INAV & Betaflight Support
The Kakute F405-Wing Mini supports multiple flight control firmware platforms.
It ships with INAV firmware and is compatible with ArduPilot, INAV, and Betaflight, allowing the controller to be configured for fixed-wing aircraft, VTOL platforms, autonomous UAVs, and custom flight applications.
