The Digital Airspeed Sensor MS4525DO with PT40 Pitot Tube is designed for fixed-wing UAVs, VTOL aircraft, and autonomous drone platforms requiring accurate airspeed measurement.
Built around the MS4525DO differential pressure sensor, this kit helps improve flight safety, stall protection, speed control, and overall autonomous flight performance.
Accurate Airspeed Measurement
The MS4525DO sensor measures differential pressure from the Pitot tube to calculate airspeed.
With a 1 psi measurement range, it supports airspeed measurement up to approximately 100 m/s, making it suitable for fixed-wing UAV and VTOL applications.
PT40 Pitot Tube Included
The included PT40 Pitot tube provides both dynamic and static pressure input for accurate airspeed calculation.
This allows the flight controller to monitor true airspeed more reliably than relying only on GPS ground speed.
I2C Digital Communication
The sensor uses I2C communication for simple integration with compatible flight controllers.
It is commonly used with Pixhawk-style autopilots and supports ArduPilot and PX4 firmware.
Improved Flight Safety
Airspeed measurement is especially important for fixed-wing and VTOL aircraft.
It helps improve stall detection, speed regulation, landing performance, and autonomous mission reliability.
Compact & Easy to Install
The compact sensor module is easy to install inside the aircraft.
The Pitot tube should be mounted facing forward, parallel to the airflow, and positioned away from propeller wash or fuselage turbulence for best measurement accuracy.
