The Hobbywing V8017 160KV Brushless Motor is a high-performance propulsion solution specifically designed for professional VTOL fixed-wing UAVs and heavy-duty industrial drone platforms. Engineered to deliver powerful thrustfast throttle response, and exceptional efficiency, it is ideal for cargo transport, mapping, inspection, surveillance, emergency response, and other demanding commercial UAV applications.

Available in Standard and IPC (Intelligent Propeller Control) versions, the V8017 allows users to choose the propulsion system best suited to their aircraft configuration and mission requirements.

Powerful & Efficient Performance

The V8017 delivers up to 22.5 kg of maximum thrust while weighing only 746.5 g, achieving an impressive 36:1 thrust-to-weight ratio.

Designed for 12S LiPo power systems, the motor provides:

  • Fast throttle response

  • Stable performance under high-altitude and strong-wind conditions

The recommended operating thrust is 7–10 kg per rotor, making it the ideal propulsion solution for professional VTOL quadcopters with a maximum take-off weight of 28–40 kg.

IPC Version

The IPC (Intelligent Propeller Control) Version is designed to operate with Hobbywing IPC ESCs, allowing advanced propeller positioning during fixed-wing flight.
